Hi, I’m Nicky

I’m a complete nerd about helping people reach their impact goals. Whether you’re after B Corp certification, telling everyone about it through brilliant comms or transforming your company culture, I’m itching to help.

My squiggly career has taken me from over a decade as Senior Copywriter in businesses like Abel & Cole and graze, to roles as Head of Culture and B Corp manager. A common thread throughout has been championing of positive social and environmental impact.

This diverse experience makes for a comprehensive - and very handy - skillset. As well as crafting brilliant words for your business, my background in project management, stakeholder engagement, and strategy means the all-encompassing world of a B Corp certification is my dream space.

I have lived the entire process from inside a business and seen first hand the benefits it brings to people, planet, and profit. Now freelance, I can’t wait to help more businesses improve their impact and join the B Corp movement.

The ‘Nicky Nerds Out’ Checklist

  • In 2020 I gained a 92% mark in the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Learning course in Business Sustainability Management. It’s an intensive 8-week course that’s helped me translate impact into real business value.

  • I did my completely useful and relevant degree in English and Classics - which means I’ve studied The Odyssey from more angles than I care to think about.

  • I’m Carbon Literate - fully certified and proud.

  • I’ve Climate Fresked, Biodiversity Fresked, and Webinar-ed my way around the internet to boffin up on every sustainability and communications topic I can.
